DevOps
DevOps is the concatenation between 2 terms : Developer and Operational
The goal of the DevOps approach is to increase the possibility to deliver in production really often (Short development cycles) without increasing the risk of production incident.
More than Specific tools, Collaboration between the differents actors will be necessary to make the Devops efficiency
Automation culture and Agile Method are in the center of DevOps spirit.
During my mission in Société Générale, I had a great use case with HAPI Project. Our team had to create from scratch an API to :
- Automate our installation process
- Provide a SelfService API
The goal for us is to save time to do new things and improve our already proposed service.

I participated to create a CI/CD workflow to deploy new features automatically.

I used to code new features in a Unitest way :
one function = one unitest
​
...and integrate it in the same time than the function to the Pipeline factory we created.

Regarding the Openshift Project, I created a prototype of Jenkins pipeline (with Skopeo) to perform the image promote to prod process.
​
It took time to work but once finished, it worked perfectly.
​
I hope that the Openshift plateform will be validated. So that i'll be able to integrate it in all the Application projects.
